Wedding photoshoot in Milan & Lake Como

Destination weddings/photoshoots are becoming increasingly popular, allowing couples to celebrate their love in picturesque locations around the world. One such magical destination for an unforgettable wedding shoot is the combination of Milan and Lake Como in Italy. With their stunning landscapes, charming architecture and romantic atmosphere, these locations are the perfect backdrop for couples looking for truly exceptional wedding photos.

The organisation of the trip

Talking with the couple and planning their wedding we wanted to do something special and special together in terms of Next Day photography. So we decided to combine their trip to Milan with the post wedding photoshoot. Our enthusiasm was shared and we aimed to live a unique experience. We booked our tickets and accommodation immediately and looked forward to the day we would travel together.

A very basic factor in destination destinations is the study of the locations to be photographed. As a wedding photographer I have to be prepared and adapt to the conditions based on my experience. So the necessary research was done and the couple trusted me completely for my suggestions.

Milan: The capital of fashion

Milan, known as the fashion capital of Italy, offers magnificent locations for a wedding photo shoot. The city has a rich history, exceptional architecture and charming streets that create a truly unique atmosphere. Iconic landmarks such as the magnificent Duomo di Milano and the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II provide stunning backdrops for capturing timeless moments. In addition, Milan’s picturesque neighbourhoods such as Brera and Navigli offer a romantic backdrop with their cobbled streets, colourful buildings and cosy cafes.

We continued on to the beautiful neighborhood of Brera where every street offers a different backdrop for pictures. It was a very sophisticated neighborhood with a special emphasis on the cultural part as it had many galleries and exhibitions by artists (painters – sculptors). The whole mood that Milan exuded had a romanticism and a strong elegant feeling. We made various stops for photos at whatever piqued our interest. That’s how our whole walk went. I wanted above all to enjoy the ride and the city and wherever there was interest to stop for our shots.

After we finished our shoot it was our turn to rest, eat good food and take a leisurely stroll around the city to recover.

Wedding photoshoot at Lake Como

The second day found us on the train to the famous Lake Como. It is located just 45′ from the center of Milan and access is very easy too. It’s a great opportunity to visit Lake Como if you find yourself in Milan. It is literally a paradise on earth.

Enchanting Lake Como

Nestled among the picturesque Italian Alps, Lake Como is renowned for its unrivalled beauty and tranquillity. Surrounded by lush greenery and framed by majestic mountains, this enchanting lake captures the hearts of couples seeking a romantic wedding photo shoot. The charming towns surrounding the lake, such as Bellagio, Varenna and Como, exude elegance and offer idyllic settings.

So we arrived in Como where we toured the unique beauties of the lakeside. Sceneries that exude elegance and luxury make up the landscape. We took pictures while stopping and enjoying the beauty. After our walk we ended up at Villa Olmo. It is a villa that resembles a palace and offers awesome backgrounds.

Then we returned to Milan and enjoyed dinner together in the Navigli neighborhood.
