Destination wedding in Paros

Paros is one of the most beautiful islands of Cyclades and especially in recent years it is a very popular destination for weddings. Of course, Santorini and Mykonos are two of the most famous destinations, but each island offers something different. This is where Paros managed to stand out and is chosen by many couples for their wedding. It has a very graphic character which in combination with the characteristic white and blue color becomes a unique mix.

Katerina and George is a couple full of energy and positive vibes! Since our first meeting this was their main desire for the wedding day – to express and keep alive this unique character.

The couple were planning their wedding on the island of Paros – George’s birthplace. They live in Athens, so the organization and coordination procedures had to be done remotely with great care.

Guests from every part of Greece

Their guests were from many different parts of Greece. On this very important day for the couple, they wanted to be by their side and share their joy.

Pre Wedding photo shoot in Paros

Arriving from Thessaloniki to Paros, the couple welcomed us and we had arranged to be photographed the day before the wedding. The reason I suggested this to the couple was because the photo shoot in casual clothes in various parts of the island fits nicely with the final result. So we toured Lefkes, Naoussa and Parikia where the images are breathtaking. You can see the result here.

The wedding day

The wedding in Paros is one of a kind. Each location is a landmark – the blue of the sea and the blue of the sky blend with the natural sunlight. We started with the preparation of the groom where his friends had gathered to help him get dressed. George got ready at his home in Lefkes. The atmosphere really matched his character – super fun and enjoyable. Along with the friends we managed to catch all the energy and liveliness of the moments.

We continued with the bride’s preparation. Katerina got dressed at the Anezinna hotel in Dryos. Her family and friends were there. All together they managed to create a warm atmosphere that caused a strong emotion in Katerina and her relatives. It’s so nice to have people by your side who really love you and share your joy. The location was magical with an incredible view of the island of Paros and beautiful natural light. Katerina became a beautiful bride wearing a gorgeous dress. The details in her hair with natural flowers were perfect.

The ceremony

The wedding was an orthodox one, so they picked a really nice orthodox church. The location is probably one of the most beautiful on the whole island. The wedding took place in Agios Georgios in Pyrgaki. It is a church almost in the sea with a view of the entire Aegean Sea. The bride arrived at the church accompanied by instruments playing traditional Greek songs. There was an intense charge to both George and Katerina as seeing each other as bride and groom were simply stunning. The wedding was held in a cheerful atmosphere and all the guests embraced them with their presence.

Same day photoshoot

After the ceremony we made our same day photoshoot to capture the vibes and create lifetime memories in this amazing Aegean scenery.

The reception

It was now time for the reception at Anezina Village. The set-up was already prepared when the guests arrived. A symbolic gift with a flower and their name was waiting on their tables. The planning service was taken over by Miss Eler Weddings. As soon as the couple entered, the real party began. Everyone had a blast and we were there to capture those wonderful moments.
