Andros – Unique locations & stately character

Andros is the closest island of the Cyclades to Athens. From the port of Rafina, where we traveled, it is only 2 hours away by boat. Arriving, you realize that the locations offered are spectacular. You literally cannot stop photographing the beauties you see. We made our first stop in Batsi. A place that combines its picturesque character with the most touristic part. We walked and enjoyed its beautiful alleys.

What will really enchant you is the Land of Andros, where the wedding took place. As an island of shipowners, one understands from the first moment the nobility of the buildings and the special character of the whole area. Beautiful alleys, neat shops and quality tourism. In combination with the blue and white color of the Cyclades, a magical atmosphere is created, suitable for creative shots.

Destination Wedding in Andros

After the destination wedding in Paros, it was now time for another cycladic island. George and Ioanna wanted to organize their wedding on the wonderful island of the Cyclades, Andros. From Athens, where they live, they managed to organize a unique concept for their wedding day. A key element they wanted it to have was to be a big party for all the guests. The whole experience was really different from the usual wedding day.

Beach Party in Andros

George and Ioanna had organized a beach party at one of the most beautiful beaches of the island, Piso Gialia. There we met an explosive atmosphere with all the friends dancing and having fun. This was such a great idea to do before your wedding day. Gathering with loved ones, having few drinks and simply enjoying the moments. The result was incredible.

The wedding day

What I always advise my couples is to be as relaxed as possible and leave everything else up to me. So George got dressed up on an amazing location with great view of Andros. Next we went to the bride’s preparation in Apikia. Everything went according to the timeline and so Ioanna had completed her make-up and hair.

Ioanna became a fantastic bride who really wanted to live and enjoy her wedding day. So we took pictures in different locations and once her friends came too we had a blast.

The ceremony

The ceremony took place at the center of Andros. Since it was an orthodox wedding the couple chose a unique church. Once the ceremony was over we made our photoshoot with the couple and the best man. I chose some memorable locations for our photoshoot. As you’ll see the island provides great set-up for photos and many instagrammable spots.

The reception – party

After completing the wedding photoshoot, it was time for the reception. The couple had planned a unique set up. By choosing the right professionals such as lighting, DJ, catering, they managed to transform the space into what really expressed them. They aimed to throw a real party and it happened! With their friends by their side they created something WOW.
